The perfect homemade tomato sauce

A tomato sauce that is very quick to make and can keep in the refrigerator for days. It can also be frozen, but it does not linger in our family. The kids eat it with pleasure. You can use it with fish, meat, your favorite pasta, add it to morning meals shakshuka with homemade sauce and a ton of greens, a great sauce for mitballs and in red borscht. The variations are tons.
We’ll need:
- tomatoes - 1 kg
- shallots - 2 pcs
- regular onion - 1 pc
- garlic - 1 pc
- olive oil if desired
- salt, pepper
Preheat the oven to 200 C. Place the tomatoes, onion and garlic cut in half on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 45 minutes. Place the cooled vegetables in a blender. Salt, pepper to taste. That’s it. The sauce is ready.
