You know exactly, but I’ll remind you again

Movement and exercise/18 January 2021

Training to your own detriment.

The most important aspect of training is not only the correct and precise technique of the movements, but also whether or not this particular type of training is suitable for you.
In my years of practice and experience, I have seen many of my friends and clients get injured when the workout they chose did not suit them at all. It’s also often because people are so concerned with "doing something" over and above, but end up only getting calories burned and praise for themselves rather than their own health, body quality and shape.

It is easy for a person to prioritize the length of a workout, how many kilometers, how heavy the exercise is, or how many reps and approaches they will do today before they evaluate how well and how well they will do it. You can challenge yourself to immediately run 10 kilometers, but you’ll end up doing it with a hunched back, irregular breathing and inflamed knees.

Start with technique before moving on. Learn how to properly perform a base even for simple exercises like walking or running. Carefully assess your form in the mirror. If necessary (and possible), seek the help of a personal trainer (professional) to get you on the right track initially. As you progress and increase intensity accordingly - continually improve the quality of your mobility. Remember to take breaks as needed, as rest is an important part of training.

Try different types of exercise, from trekking to running, from yoga to HIIT (high intensity interval training). Find something that will not only bring you health benefits, but also enjoyment, energy and satisfaction from the work you do. With this approach, you will be able to achieve awesome results for yourself.

We should always remember that by improving the quality of our movement technique, we can minimize injuries, be able to move without pain and effort, and most importantly, feel good everywhere.
